So we have a Sky internet connection with a sky hub and telephone connected to a BT socket which comes into the house near the front door. We would like to move these to the other side of the house, the simplest solution would appear to be to obtain a longer cable from the phone socket to the microfilter which splits the signal to the phone and the Sky Hub, however I am having difficulty sourcing the correct cable to buy.

The connection that goes into the microfilter looks like an RJ11 connector? but it only has 2 pins instead of 4, I assume the one that goes into the phone socket is just a normal phone connector. However most cables I can find seem to have an RJ11 connector at both ends and always have 4 pins, not 2. In addition to this I think the cable would need to be about 15-20m long, not sure if this would have an affect on speeds etc anyway.

Basically, does anyone know where I can get a 15-20m cable with the connectors pictured below on it?

You'd usually use a RJ11 to RJ11 cable of a suitable length. It doesn't matter if it has extra pins connected. At the length your talking about you'll need to make sure it uses twisted pair cable or you'll almost certainly see a significant drop in speed.

A better option is a hardwired extension. If you Google 'dsl data extension' you'll find guides and companies supplying kits with the necessary components.

I'd much rather place the modem/router there and then run ethernet to wherever you need it.

I wouldn't do that, you're likely to suffer a drop in speed via that method. I would personally keep the router there and then run CAT5e to a switch/wireless access point depending on your requirements.

Cheers, looks like this may be the best option, I shall have a look into it.
