Extension & UPS Question

I have recently moved house and only have 1 socket available in my new office, but I would like to get a UPS as I'm fed up of losing work if the power cuts out for whatever reason (only happened once here).

I'm currently using a 4 metre surge protected extension (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9823109.htm - hopefully the link is OK, I don't think overclockers sells them). Is it safe to plug the UPS into this extension? Alternatively should I look into getting a second socket installed to use with the UPS, or get a UPS with a longer cable and lots of sockets to use with everything (and plug directly into the wall)?

I have tried searching, and Googling before making this post and there isn't really a definitive yes or no.

I'd look into getting the extra sockets fitted. It's a relatively quick and easy job, so shouldn't cost too much, and gives you much more expandability for the future.
