hi,
setting up a new loop for gpus this rad and pump/res is going to be mounted externally solely for gpus at silent setting.
when i mount the rad im going to mount it vertically does it matter if the ports are at the top or bottom ? i.e flow rate .

Hi, using a external rad 560 my self mounted horizontal under my desk

Since you have two pumps either way will do, it all depends where your tower is position the ports where it makes the job easy for mounting and running the tubing.

ok thanks the 2 pumps are in case on a twin res combo they will be for cpu/motherboard which is going under water, this is going to be new build fitting etc as my old set up was the 1st id done as a beginner, new set up is twin d5s in case monsta 240 base push/pull
top 360 push/pull front or rear 140 push/pull all fitted with aerocool dead silent fans
and to complement this as a feature in colour theme a 420 monsta push/pull with EK Water Blocks EK-DDC 3.2 PWM X-RES 400 res

Hi, you may find you do not need push/pull at all with adding the 420 rad, my 560 140mm 800rpm fans set to pull a lot quieter than p/p.

Temp wise there was only about a couple of degree's in it, if you have not bought the fans just use the one's of the other rads if they fit.

Why 3 pumps you have got 2xD5's, l'm just using a 1 EK-DDC 4.0 Pump for my loop CPU-SLI GPU'S-560/Rad 60mm thick and a Zalman tower for a res.

Plus on the pump power cable l have a 3 pin low voltage adapter cable to reduce the pump speed its now silent.

Instead of about 800lt/h now about 650lt/h and temps did not change, going to order a EK Water Blocks EK-DCP 4.0 PWM to replace it.

ok ill try 1st with single fans wht 3 pumps ? main rerason really is i already had the internal loop running off a twin d5 xspc res i have purchased 2 d5 pwm to replace these as ive also brought a lamptron fan controller and pulling out case to adjust fans annoyed me my own fault but it was my 1st build a bit like i never put a drain in lmao you should see how i have to empty a fully loaded cosmos 2 ultra try to picture me emptying it out of a tube i attached to top of the bay res as a fill port. we all make mistakes which if you learn by them is a good thing.
the reason for the 3rd pump is as much a cosmetic thing as usefulness as ive gone monster set up i wanted to bring a part of my pc outside the case to complement my desk lighting etc i have a blue red theme with fans and led so im bring the theme to my desk( as well got a pair of quick release fittings so i can pull out cosmos when needed, also i made a skateboard last week painted up and shaped to match front of cosmos) : ie red light on swift blue on new keyboard and mouse roccat on order 420 rad red/blue red fans still deciding on colour of liquid in desk reservoir ive purchased red tubing for inside case and clear for outside will decide on water colour after set up also got 2 blue backplates for 980s.i have spent over 2k in prep of new build so far not a problem its the only thing i spend money on its my hobby. think ive decided to get the 1tb samsung 850. hopefully you can get a clearer picture where im coming from with build i have a large 5ftx2ft office desk and cosmos sits along side. will put up pics after completion,

Hi again, very nice bud l'm not into the lighting theme.

I prefer to keep things as simple as possible less to go wrong fingers crossed lol.

Hence the one big rad, pump, res and its easy to maintain.

Hoping to repace my SLI 4GB 670 with 2x970 or 980, not in a hurry as the 670's still do a grand job.

I game at 2560x1440p with Samsung 917d 27" monitor as l say just installed
Win 8.1 and everything just seems that bit smoother. But also noticed my colours are far more vibrant as well, give 8.1 ago.:)
