external cable tidying

I have 2 pc's in general use, connected by a USB KVM. I'm utterly embarrassed by the confusion of cables and wiring surrounding these pc's. I've tried cable ties in the past but it ends up a mess.

I'd be grateful for any advice about cable tidy systems that people have found effective.

You can get a roll of double sided velcro for tidying up cables. It's basically a long reuseable cable tie you can cut up into whatever lengths you need... maybe that would be better?

edit: I sometimes use a bit of wire from some solid cat5 cable, that works well too
