External Cards for Laptops

If I'm reading that correctly, you will be able to run external GFX (ATI/AMD) on any machine that comes with thunderbolt 3 as long as the Bios is updated to match? That will be a massive game changer if it's true. Anyone know what the T3 penetration on the market is like at the moment?
There's the Dell XPS 13 and 15, a couple of HP Zbooks and the Razer Blade Stealth - that's about it really. It's fairly safe to say that the 2016 Macbooks will get it, too. I expect Dell will add it to their Precision laptops, given that it'll mean they can finally ditch the docking station entirely, and point people at the TB15 port replicator.

I do wonder about the pricing on these things; the HP Thunderbolt 3 port replicator is £200 and the Dell TB15 will be the same. I hope Razer don't hop on the bandwagon of charging through the nose for new tech, but I can see them charging £300 for a Razer Core with no GPU just because they can...

Looks like the new 14" Razer Blade has TB3 and will work with the Core.

Shame the price is crazy for what you get... I don't really want a 970m if I have a Core...

It looks like the Razer Core will be available next month for $499, according to AnandTech. I wouldn't be surprised if that ends up being £500 by the time they get it over here... :(
