Hi All

I need to run a cable outside to my garage (man cave), I was going to put a unifi on the outside of my house but I need to be able to stream 4k so concerned the coverage might struggle. My plan is to run a overhead cable, underground and wall is not possible, then put a unifi in the garage.

I want decent cable about 30m run, looking around I see various reviews saying they didn't get above 100mb on some cable so want to make sure I get something that will provide near gigabit speeds. I can terminate the RJ45 plugs.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

If these people are not getting more than 100mb on 30metre runs then there will be reasons

CCA cable was used.
The cable wasn't terminated properly.
The equipment only had 10/100 NICs on one or both ends.

I have completed numerous ethernet runs with all manner of Cat5e cable and never got less than 1gb connectivity.

Thanks, I am guessing it's a install problem with a lot of users or maybe CCA, I have done countless runs indoors so not an issue with install or connections.

It's not an easy install so I wanted to be sure I'm not using poor cable, don't want to have to do it twice.
