External creative sound blaster won['t work after hibernate?

Hi. I' just bougth a creative USB soundblaster for my vaio laptop running winxp.

I've installed the latest drivers and when I hibernate and resume, the laptp doesn't think there's a sound card (itunes won't play). if i unplug it and plug it back in it sometimes works again - otherwise it needs a reboot.

Anyone have any ideas why it's doing this?
