External disks

Just wondering..

I've got a cluster of external hdd's that I used to use with my PC, can I hotplug/swap them in my MBP? Shame about the lack of usb slots

Er, just that really. Is there or isn't there compatability issues with usb hdds? And only 2 usb slots is problematic..

Oh I see, no I meant I have several external hdds in NTFS. PC is no longer in the frame, so will I need to format these as something else or can I use a converter program?

Will it convert rather then format? As theres a lot of data on them; likewise Fat32 isn't viable due to the size of data.

Sadly I've got about 50GB free, and almost 4TB of data to convert..ouch.
