External DVD Drive MacBook Pro

I need an external drive for my mac, was looking at the LG and Liteon models on OCUK, does anyone know if they will work?

I would imagine that there should be no problems, you could check the manufacturers website to see if you need any drivers.

I know from experience that Lacie drives tend to just be plug and play on a Mac, although they are typically firewire based.

Is the Mac Air's external DVD drive compatible? If so I would get that - guy at work was using one the other day and they look and perform well.

macbook airs external drive can't be used with other mac laptops AFAIK

The macbook air supplys more power on the USB to power the drive hence the drive only works on the air.
