External ethernet cable run

Running internally just seems a no go for where I need the cables to be.

Much more practical to run outside.

Cannot be buried as concrete floor so will need to be attached to the house.

Would using metal conduit be excessive?

I simply do not like the idea of cables just being strapped to the house if that makes sense.

You guys are probably right.

Maybe I was over thinking.

What do you use where the cable enters the building to tidy it up?

I'd only go external if it's a very limited number of cables required.

There will be maybe 6 cables...

You don't see where my cables come through the walls because they immediately terminate at flush mounted network faceplates.

Sorry, I was refering to the external entry/exit points.

For what it's worth OP, you wouldn't get 6 Cat5es in a 20mm conduit

They would not be in the same conduit as going to different places

As for Fibre.. it is not as expensive as some may think, especially if buying second hand.

Not sure I want to go that route though.
