Hi guys,

Let me just fill you in on what im trying to do and what i need your help with.

I am needing to attach a Tesla GPGPU to a 1U server, for obvious reasons i cant put the card into the server chassis. That leaves me with having to find an external caddy, pop it in there and then get a cable between the server and caddy and the jobs a good'un.

Now, i am having a bit of a headache trying to find a way of getting the card to perform to 100% through the external connection.
The caddy i am looking at is the "NetStor External ePCIe Expansion NA211A-LD TurboBox v2".
This box allows me to plug a PCI-E x16 card into it but this is where my brain starts to hurt.
The card that tell you to purchase for the server/desktop is a PCI-E x4 card.... How can i plug an x16 card into the chassis and then pipe it through an x4 connection?

Can anybody find me a card that will slot into the server and exploit the full x16 bandwidth?

Please have a look at the caddy (http://www.netstor.com.tw/_03/03_02.php?OTc=) And tell me what you thinks!

Thanks in advance everyone,
Em
