Remove the competitors link.
That should do the job fine, if you want any of the other features. There's a tp link ax3000 that's 54.99 if those features suit better.
TP link and Asus probably have something older (ac1xxx or ac3xxx) series) that are most likely cheaper but should also have usb 3 on them.
Whether it's worth spending a reasonable amount and going new all depends on if any of the other features can be made use of, newer wifi, access point /wifi extender etc compared to just the virgin router. Second hand should be easy too, if you're not using any routing or features of the router, doesn't matter if its performance is crap as long as the usb is up to snuff.
Assuming the cpus in them are capable enough to write at usb 3 speeds, that will require benchmark checking, I'd assume most would be fine.
