External HD + 360

Probably been posted before but hey. Is it possible to play media through my 360 using an external HD? If so, what mediatypes will work using that method? Got a 60gb onetouch III I'd like to hook up to it. Also, heard it has to be fat32, or will ntfs work?

Has to be fat32- only wmv vids, pics and music(any win media supported format AAC with ipod download and mp3)

yup only fat32 am using a 60gb 2.5inch drive and it works a treat for music videos and pictures

You can format it to HFS+ (Mac) using MacDrive 7 and it will allow files over 4GB.

Eh? The Xbox 360 can't read HFS+ can it?

I think at the last update it enabled playback of (H.264) MPEG-4 files, too.

Yes the XBOX360 can read HFS+ through an external drive.
