Hi Folks,

Is it possible to attach and external HDD to a 360 to watch movies from? Also is it possible to rig dvds to a format that will play on the 360? The reason I am asking is that 90% of my DVDs are tv shows that I only ever really have time to atch one or two at a time so if I can just have them all on a HDD it would make it quicker and easier just to browse through all my shows and pick something to watch.

Thanks all

Matt

I have just tried it ripping a DVD to WMV using a trial version of some software and it worked fine. However, it seems that it could be quite annoying to choose and episode of something to watch it seems that the dash board can only show wmv files in a massive long list and can't put them into subsections. It would be better if I could choose family guy and then an episode I want to watch or Friends etc. However, I think all the movie files are just going to be in one long list which isn't ideal!

Does any one know a way around this?

Thanks

Matt

Aye mate.

just to make a point guys as i dont think people no this ( i might be wrong so i apologise now if so) that when your using an external hard drive make sure its formated to fat32 and not ntfs as the xbox will not read ntfs

I tried TVersity to stream my Divx movies to the Xbox. It sucked, some video played upside down, some froze.

I just write my divx movies to a DVD9 and keep stuff in collections.

Playing music via an ipod in game is cool though!
