Hi there

Hoping some kind person could help me with a query I have around moniotors.

I'm looking to purchase an external monitor for my DELL XPS L502x - Budget maximum £300. It has both Intergrated HD3000 and Nvidia GT540M GPUs and Display Port and HDMI outputs.

I was looking at the korean QNIX monitors that look pretty good for the money but am unsure whether I would need a better system to drive this monitor due to the high resolution it can display.

I wont be using the Monitor to play games, just general office stuff and music production - Ableton Live.

Perhaps someone could also recommend some that are available here on overclockers.

I run a Dell 24" 1920/1200 display on my M18x laptop using the Intel integrated 3000 GPU over HDMI. I have tried the display port but it only works using the none integrated GPU on my laptop, might be different on newer laptops. If you get a 1440p display you will need to use Display port to get the full resolution, it should give good performance for windows stuff but some games need a fast GPU to run at 1440p.
