Hi All,

Not really sure where to post this as it could have gone in a few places but you sff chaps are prolly best bet :)

I have a Soltek Qbic sff with a laughable 100W seasonic PSU. now the fact that this little PSU has been running a XP2700+,512MB DDR, 2 x HDD , 1 X DRD R/W and a 6800le ( unlocked to 16/6 ) is amazing but I feel the need for more juice. I've found what appears to be a nice tidy little PSU and what I'd like to do is bolt it under my desk and run the molex cables to my HDD and DVD drive thus unburdening the seasonic so it can concentrate on cpu, ram, mobo, gfx

This is the PSU I have in mind

This power unit has: (1) ATX 20 Pin connector, (1) ATX12V connector, (4) peripheral power connector, (1) floppy drive connector

How can I get this to kick in at the same time as the seasonic once I boot my system, obviously it'll require pins shorting or a connection to the mobo but from that point on I'm goosed if I know how to do it and wondered if anyone has done anything similar and can give me a few pointers.

all assistance appreciated

Kieron

Could get a pico PSU with a 20 pin pass through so both work togehter and everything is internal. Seasonic is used as the primary with the pico PSU connected as a secondary to power the drives.

Oooow fudge now that's tomorrow's world type stuff :) top advice and thanks, my own fault I should have explained I'm looking to do this as cheaply as possible I was thinking more along the lines of bent paper clips and coat hangers.

more blue peter than tomorrows world
