Looking for an alternative pump to the internal pump you get with the product. Its getting a bit noisy so want to try and improve my I7 950 temps. Ideally looking for an external that I can cut in line to the tubing and run it off the pc or a plug.

Any ideas?? Thanks for any help.

Any of the main ones are fine.
DDC 10w with a non res top, or better still the D5 with a top.
D5 is quieter - DDC has more push.

the eheim 1046 pump (Aquacomputer Aquastream XT) is also an option of you have the room

Do u reckon its worth keeping the external reserator setup or would not be the wise time to not pay for a £50 pump and time to invest to to a corsair h50 for £10 more?? ive got my i7 to 3.8 and works fine but pumps are noisy. Maybe take them out and clean them or reckon thay have had it.

The Res1 pumps do make a lot of noise then they are getting old but
a new res1 pump (Eheim) is around £15 delivered as a cheaper option.
But are a pita to swap out if you don't have access to a bench clamp.

The H50 is noisy unless you reuse one of your existing case fans - but most case fan don't have the static pressure to push through the Rads fins.

Look to get a pump off MM - £35 should get you a 10w ddc with top.
What block(s) are you using btw? - High flow / low restriction is a must with reserators

edit: CraigN has a fuzion 1 and an xspc pump in mm now

Im using the new Zalman ZM-WB5 Plus grey block, that's the only one on my loop, other components are cooled my fans or passive.

Thats much better that the earier zalman ones that came with the res1.
The internal square pin matrix is at least two generations of block old.
But it works and gives resonable flow rates - if you are ever tempted to open the block up be very carefull reasembling it.
As the aluminum top and copper base are in direct contact.
Zalman have nickel plated the base and anadised the top - but you don't want to scratch these surfaces off when reasembling.
The fuzion (only v1 not v2) would give slightly better temps but 2-4c at best.

A new pump to replace the tin of spoons is well worth it - ek 2.2/Hydro 500/Phobya DC-12-260 is another option (all the same pump, just different stickers)

Looking at the e.k one but see there's a 400lph and a 800lph, is it worth paying the extra and getting the more powerful one or will it be too noisy as obv the reserator setup or very quiet i'n general.

Cheers for all advice and see from one of my prev threads (dual reserator setup) that u have updated since then!

the 400 is quiet and more than enough for a single block loop.
The 800 is over kill.

And yes I've tweeked my loop again - spent to much time here so it's not just about the performance any more now it needs to look good two :D
