External Rad Mount

Hi All,

total n00b here.. so bare with me

.

if i wanted to have my Rad setup external to my case and wanted to have it mounted on a stand, do I need to watch for anything special?

as i'm next to a window which is perhaps 2.5m away from my pc and 1.5 meters above the ground, do i need pumps with a certain level of pressure?

at the maximum yes, as i'm thinking of building a mount to suspend the rad out of the window.. at least during the winter months

have just been reading a review of the Swiftech MCP35X2 Pump which seems pretty good.

so basically.. i can forget something the HD-EDGE from Swiftech as thats a rad/res/pump combo.

whilst making tea sounds like a splendid idea.. i was thinking that even in the summer its probably better to vent directly into the open air than not..

anyway.. as i've kinda given up on internally mounting the rad, i've been thinking 360 at least.

i can still mount it on the back of the pc with a radbox or a hollowed out 120mm fan if needed.

cool, thanks.. so basically i need to ensure that whatever pump has a head pressure equal or greater than the maximum vertical distance.
