Don't really know where to ask this so I'll try in here and maybe someone could point me in the right direction.
I need to install a couple of large signs on the exterior of my shop, the signs are 1.5 x 1.1m and 1.2 x 1.4 m, I have had these made out of 2 plywood boards and they will be fitted with a painted trim around the edge.
2 questions, what is the easiest way of decorating them and what material would that use ?
and also is plywood weather proof or will I need to treat it in someway before they are put up.
The options I have thought of so far are
perspex - easy to fit just a few screws around the edge, but expensive
vinyl - not as easy to fit, possibly not as long lasting, but cheaper than perspex.
laminate poster print - would probably have to glue this myself with spray glue ?, so potential for the finish not to be as good afterwards.
painting - dont know anyone that can do this, not sure on cost and detail wouldnt be as good I imagine.
I could also scrap these signs completely and use something like di-bond instead which is potentially going to cost about the same as vinyl.
Any thoughts or any idea where I might get the answers I need ?
Thanks
James
