not sure what I should be looking for
I need a USB interface with coax s pdif in, I also want to use that interface for all the audio coming out my PC...so I can have mp3/youtube etc playing and have the sound from the s pdif in coming out the same speakers/headphone
I have a guitar effects unit (Line 6 PODXT, no s pdif in, that's why new one needed) that can function as a usb audio interface (comes up as 'driver type asio' when you select it in audio preferences of Ableton)
I can select it as a playback device in windows....but when I do the line/mic in still works on my internal soundcard? even when I disable the realtek speakers in playback devices
so will all the jacks on my motherboards soundcard still work with any USB interface?
main thing is for the new interface to have a headphone socket (which they all do) but do some have new speaker outputs instead of the motherboard jacks or is that something different? bit confused..
