External Speaker problem.

Hello,

I am currently using two external speakers through AUX from my mobo. They are working fine apart from a crackling/static noise beneath the actual audio. When the speakers are at a reasonable volume it isn't too noticeable however when not it ruins the sound completely.

Is there any ideas on how to fix this or at least reduce it?

Also, would there be a way to play audio both through speakers and a headset simultaneously without buying a sound card?

Thanks.

Sounds like interference, which can be a fairly common issue with onboard audio. Quite possible that buying a sound card may be the only way round the problem. Not guaranteed though, as although sound cards do fare much better, interference can affect them too.

Assuming you have Realtek audio, you should be able to get sound from headset and speakers at the same time, if you plug the speakers into any of the spare sockets and select 'front speakers' when the box pops up.
