Good Morning Everyone,

I am looking for advice on an new external hard drive for my Vitus Laptop for Windows game pass ultimate titles. I have ready is you go for an external HDD you have to transfer them tot the main hardrive before play where as SSD you casn plsy them from where they sit? Not sure if that is true or not.

I was looking at the Seagate Game Drive but it says it is for the Xbox Series S/X. Didn't say weather it could be used with a laptop with game game ultimate.

Looking around £150

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards

What is your laptop's storage connectivity? USB generations can be anything from 5-10Gbs or higher, so knowing this means you can get the best bang for your buck for your gaming needs.

You should be able to launch games from an external hard drive as long as you moved them there from your steam library or been installed direct.

Mechanical hard drive is definitely a bottleneck for games so getting them an SSD or nvme is a must.
