I have a bus powered USB hdd made by Toshiba.

it works fine on my work PC, laptops etc.

I have 2 Shuttles at home, and it doesn't want to work on either, I suspect there isn't enough power going to it? The light on the front just flashes and the hdd doesn't even spin up, any ideas?

Thanks!

My friends Abit IP35 could power my external hdd by usb but connecting it to the front of his case would result in the hdd not being able to spin up. Luckilly my external HDD has an extra connector to connect to another USB port for more power.

I have tried both USB ports, both at the front of the case and at the back!
