Okay, some of you may have read a previous thread of mine earlier in the week located here now ive just got off the phone to him where I told him the following information.

I had proof that something has been applied for in my name from that address once I had moved away, 4 catalogues with specific details so he knows what ive found.

I next told him that as I don’t live there I can only assume one thing and I don’t know what else to assume.

As he was squirming his way out, lien the whole way through I said to him simply the following:

"As you don’t know what’s going on, and I have the information in front of me I have no other option then to contact the CIFAS, the police and the 4 companies involved"

He then said he would ring me back...

Now, I need help with 3 things please:

1) How do I become disassociated with him, i.e. address, financially, socially, any way I may be connected even blood if that’s even bloody possible!!

2) How do I put a fraud alert on my account, I read such a thing is possible that if anything is applied for im contacted in person by phone/email/address etc so I know what’s going on.

And

3) I want to find out if he has got things in my name without letting people know that it may be a case of fraud as to stop them contacting the police.

I want to find out any application that’s ever been made, information even been given to them etc...

I work at the Abbey and such a thing called a "Subject Access Request" exists so that any company that runs legally in the UK has to, by the Data Protection Act 1998 has to give you in full any information, any transaction, any single thing that’s ever happened with your name associated.

It’s a pretty fragile situation as my sister is 14 and for her sake I don’t want him getting into trouble, as he has been close to jail for this in the past apparently but escaped lucky without been prosecuted.

Please help.

Thanks.

James.

Hes just rung me back, hes so different now ive caught him..

Hes now claiming that its shown up on my report from 3rd party people..

He said he has applied for freebies like o2 sim cards or Joop in my name and sometimes they pass on 3rd parties sometimes, well, 4 times, in 3 months, all for credit, im sure.

It isnt even possible, it cant happen thay cant apply for credit in my name, a company wont do that, they will get owned if they do.

Hes full on lien down the phone but because of this i dont know what do to. I want to ring the Police, look what hes doing, hes is so frauderent, he has used my name, my dob and a fake dob i.e instead of 7/10/89 hes put 97..

My poor sister will come out the worst out of all this i know she will but what the hell do i do? Drop it and risk getting ******* black listed due to him ruin his own life/credit!:@ Or do i get this sorted, risk him going to prison and humiliating my sister and risk her even hating me..

This is a complete joke.

I want to go to the police because I have no trust that he wont do it again, my mum has told me that now he knows im on to him he will completely **** himself he doesn’t think anyone is as smart as he is, which is rubbish because I don’t know anyone any thicker than him!!

I rung him and told him what I know, did say I think it’s him but said what I knew i.e. It came out of his address.

But im worrying as my 2 careers that im going for are the Police, and once I am in a position to do so im going to start a property empire...

The problem is, he can risk both those careers!! And once he knows im in the police he has an even better chance of getting this credit on my behalf!!

Not only that, I work for a bank, they had to do a credit check on me so what if he had got credit then, I could have been stuffed!!

My sister is the only problem have, she’s 14 and still in school and she would be extremely embarrassed if he went to prison or if she even found out what had gone on!

I will always find out who or what he has in my name, the police can see what hes got in my name, what hes used, what address, name changes etc..

He cant hide, as much as he thinks he can.

I don’t know what to do guys im in such an incredibly difficult situation.

You’re exactly correct; well I have my credit report now... I got it a few days ago that’s how I found this out, apparently my mum has said that if he has anything in my name it should come up on this, well there is nothing as such on there as he has been turned down as I don’t really have a rating as ive never had any reason to be given one.

It shows me 4 things he has applied for and it has something else where it says my name wrongly, it misses the "Y" off the end and has changed my middle initial, and has my old address but the next door neighbour, 25 instead of 23...

Is there anyway you can call Experian?

Can they completely disassociate me from him and tell me if he has anything else or has applied for anything else in my name, and can it ban anyone doing it but me?

If I grass him up, I face my sister been humiliated and even hating me

Im sure she wouldn’t hate me but it’s always a possibility. As she’s so young she wont really see much about the situation just that her beloved big bro but her dad in prison.

She knows something is up as people keep asking how I am, what’s going on etc... So my mums told her something else is up with me who is also true as to move her away from any thoughts of what is actually going on.

Good idea, as for time, I think I need to go have a word with the police on Monday morning, my mum has said he probably wont do it again now im on to him, he will be scared, that’s not the point, I don’t want him to have a chance, I don’t want him to be able to, and I don’t want him to get away with trying its like, completely disrespecting me in all ways imaginable, which isn’t the kind of thing that can be forgiven.

When I spoke to him yesterday and I mentioned that the only other option I have is to go to the Police, he just said the following “well if that’s the only other option then you’ll have to do that then wont you” as if to call my bluff.

Complete joke to be honest.

It wasnt long ago i was thinking "imagine ID fraud happening to me.. what would i do, i dont think it will ever happen i do keep my info very very secure and safe."

...unimaginable that it would happen to me, not only that, but my own dad doing it, what a joke.

As for alerting the police, if i was to say to experian please can you check out my report as something fishy is going on and i dont understand it, playing dumb as such, would they find out whats happene don my behalf and take action them selves?

Ill email them now.
