Who likes supporting charity.....by playing games? :D

Well me for one!

This year after seeing a Twitter friend put themselves through 24 hours of misery and torture playing Dark Souls I figured this year I'd have a a crack at this raising money for sick children thing too :)

You can read about Extra Life by clicking the pretty highlighted words in this sentence and see what it's all about and hey you know - maybe think about signing up too? :D

For those to lazy to click links (me included) the general gist is:

Sign up
Get people to donate via your page to your chosen recipient (You can choose UK hospitals!)
On October 20th play games for 24 hours in the name of charity!

In this particular instance I've chosen to spend 24 chaotic and stress filled hours playing Grand Theft Auto San Andreas which I'm not only looking to finish the story but also achieve 100% completion.......yeah I'm completely nuts :D

I'll probably keep bumping this thread occasionally so more people can laugh at the mess I've gotten myself into and possible get a few of you guys to sign up as well :D

I'll be taking sensible precautions/eating/drinking normally and taking a break every few hours (oh and getting a comfy chair!)

A lot of gamers could do that if they got in to a game, I really fail to see what is donation worthy here.

A girl on facebook recently was asking for donations for WALKING 10 miles....10 miles. Had she of run it with a midget on her back I would have donated.

I am all for raising money, I've done it myself numerous times, but make it a challenge :(

Probably not.

Incidentally I only read 33% of your post, seems fitting :)

I don't think I've played a game for more than 2 hours tops recently....just lose interest. This will be a lot tougher!
