Hey,

Some of you may remember that a couple of years ago I took part in the gaming/charity event called Extra Life. For this I played GTA San Andreas for 24 hours straight in an effort to raise money for sick children.

This year I'm taking part in the 2014 event and I've decided to play Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for 25 hours straight (I had to choose the weekend the clocks go back of course :p) and if any of you are feeling kind enough I'd appreciate it if you could donate!

For those that don't like reading be aware that due to legal difficulties any money raised will be going to the aid of Texas Children's Hospital and will not benefit children in the UK as in years past. If this is a problem for you then don't worry :)

Additionally in an attempt to persuade/bribe some of you into donating I shall be offloading my collection of games (360/PS3) for donations in the form of some to be announced competitions! I'll announce these soon!

In the meantime anyone willing to throw even a few quid at this may do so below:

Donate Here!

I will be playing this on the PC with another forum user (Dedwoods42) but currently have a couple of slots open on our team (The Handsome Jacks) if anyone would like to join us!

Thanks :)

I'd been thinking about doing this when COD comes out.. 24 hours straight on Veteran..

But its the lack of responses and donations that are putting me off.

Good luck with this.. I'll donate if I can :)

What happens if you finish cod in less than 24hrs? Last one I did on Vet, I had it completed in 8-10hrs.

Hence why we've gone for borderlands, new game+ adds length to the game :)

The forum response in here and PC gaming has been disappointing but had a good reaction from twitter followers and workmates.

Both of us are grabbing food right now so slight downtime but come watch some of the action!

First I've seen of this thread - I love watching gaming marathons - but not for games I've not played yet! :( Best of luck though!

Aaaaaaaaaaand done! :D Finished with a big ol BUTTSLAM straight into the LAVA! :D

25 hours done (in a row!), some sketchy play from 3 - 5am but we persevered! :)

I even managed to hit my goal :D

The occasional jaunt to the kitchen for food, a toilet break when needed and some fresh air at 4am to stop face planting the keyboard. Other than that, no. Paying for it now though :p

Overwhelming response here then! :p

Sometimes things get missed, especially if they slide off the front page quickly. I suggest that next time you get the mods to make the thread temporarily sticky.

And despite playing the game on a PC you put the thread in the Console forum...

We are all gamers are we not? Also to be totally honest I forgot to bump this thread!

Stickies tend to go unread sadly!

Still $500 raised between the 2 players that took part! :D

Congrats.

I'm giving a COD:AW 24 hour stream serious consideration, any tips on how to get donations tho as I really don't think I'll get even £50..

I've signed up...

So...

I'll be streaming COD:AW for 24 hours straight on Twitch from midday on the 4th of November.
Will be playing Veteran difficulty and a mixture of MP and what ever other modes are available.

No breaks, only quick toilet ones.

Raising money for the Society for Abandoned Animals.

My page if anyone would like to donate

Sorry if this isn't allowed, its for a good cause!
