extra performance from an old fx5200?

hi all, is there any voltmods or anything i can do to squeeze more from me wifeys old 5200? if there is and i do it ok, i might try on some of me more expensive cards! thanks.

Your better off getting the 9800 pro from the b-grade section for just under £60.

i have got plenty of better cards, i just upgraded her to a 6800gt and was wanderin if i could do anything with this as i fancy a fiddle and cant sell this as it isnt worth anything!

The only way you can get that card to go faster is to throw it out the window.

But seriously, I don't think there is much point in trying to overclock it or anything.

just wanted to have a go at a voltmod really, was gonna chuck it in a system for the kids but i found em a 6600gt instead! me lads happy at that!

oh well what cheap card will i be able to practice a voltmod or something on, i have an old pcie 6200 sat in the drawer, any on that? failing that i will buy another cheap little pcie card to have a go with.

Well there may be a guide out there to volt mod it - if you just want to have a go, I'm sure someone else more experienced with volt modding will help you out.
