Extra SATA ports

I have used up all SATA ports and need an extra one. What is the best option please?

I guess it is a question of a 1Tb M.2 or this and use current drive.

For plugging in 1 device, either an external enclosure connected to usb or a pci-e card if you want everything internal

ive had a couple of cheap and cheerful startech pcie-sata adapters but they both broke within 5 years..LSI is my brand of choice for sata adapters for multiple drives..but not cheap

be careful with pcie sata cards. They are often problematic with compatability. I have had some that would work on AMD systems but not on Intel or on some versions of intel and not others its often down to firmware/chipset.
