Hi, I want to add a 2nd SS to my system (for gaming purposes) though I'm confused about connection options on my mobo.

I already have 1 SSD(boot up and Windows 10), 1 HDD, and a GPU connected.

I think I can connect a 2nd SSD with a SATA cable with no issue.

However, would it not be better to connect a PCIe SSD (direct into mobo)? Price per GB seems similar.

I'm not sure I can add PCIe SSD to this mobo though? https://www.overclockers.co.uk/asus...am4-ddr4-micro-atx-motherboard-mb-69l-as.html

Please advise, thanks.

You can - that listing says "1x M.2", and M.2 is the slot for SSDs in card form.

You can get them in SATA or NVMe (PCIe) flavours.

The slot is just above the PCIe 16x slot, you can see the row of mounting holes for different length M.2 cards :)

Asus appear to have removed the spec page for some reason, grr. I downloaded the manual and it says the M.2 slot supports PCI-E 3.0 or SATA mode, so I'd suggest the 1TB WD SN570 that you can buy for £45.

It says it disables sata ports 5 & 6 when in-use.
