Posted this in motherboards but it's gone a week or more with no response and it does directly concern my watercooling loop so I'll try it here.

I bought a corsair XD3 pump/res combo and plugged the temp sensor that comes with it into my temp sensor on my motherboard - Asus rog strix B550i gaming. Where can I see the reading? I thought it would show up in HWmonitor but I can't seem to find it.

Has it been enabled in the BIOS first? Are you going to need some Asus garbage like Armoury Crate to actually access it?
i never thought to look there. i will try that next. what am i looking for in the BIOS to try that?
Use Hwinfo64 , it should read it there, HWmonitor is outdated these days.
all the temp sensors on the motherboard do seem to read tmpin 1- 8 so i assumed it was one of them just i couldnt notice any change i would associate with my water temps. ill give this ago aswell.

thanx for the tips.

ok so i got that hwinfo64. wow that interface is awful. moved 5 of the temp sensors i am interested in to their own page and set to the tray aswell.

yea the temp sensor is displayed in that without doing anything extra. T_Sensor its called.
