Hi all. I have a DVD and I was wanting to extract the audio track from the DVD to MP3. Is there a way to do this without having to capture the whole lot on line in?

Yes.

I did it on a DVD the other day using SmartRipper, you can extract the audio track using that (under Stream Processing IIRC) in to MP2 format then I converted that to MP3. (Can't remember which program I used to convert it, but it didn't take me long to find a free program via Google)

Remember that legally you're only allowed to do this on DVDs that either aren't copyrighted, you own the copyright to or that you have permission to do so.

Thanks Phil. I'll give it a try.

I am aware of the copyright issues and this is actually a DVD that I made with my DV camera some years ago (family stuff).
