Hey,
Our cooker is installed in the chimney breast in our kitchen. Above the cooker, mounted on a register plate, is a tiny extractor fan, in line with what one would expect to find above a shower.
It doesn't do a lot, and as there is no light around the cooker, it's quite dark. As such, we'd like to replace it with a proper extractor, with decent fans and lights.
The register panel is 21x90cm, so perhaps not big enough to fit an integrated hood. The lintel is 97cm above the cooker. The cooker is on an outside wall, so can vent straight out.
Has anyone got any experience with fitting an extractor in this set up? Googling shows a few ideas, but never any detail on how to get something to fit, what works well, etc.
Thanks,
James
Edit: we bought the house like this. Aside the extractor fans vent on the outside wall, I've no clue what else is up there.
