I'm looking at getting this cooker hood (Bosch DWW067A50B).
The problem I have is that our kitchen ceiling is quite low, and I'm quite tall which isn't a good combination. According to the diagrams in the link, the minimum height is 672mm which would be too low for me. What I'm trying to determine is if I could cut the top section of the chimney stack(as shown in the disgram below) to reduce the height, or even ditch it entirely. It will be ducted, so I don't need the vents in the stack for recirculation mode.
I don't suppose anyone has this hood, or can work out if this would be possible?
Yes I realise I could just buy a different hood, but a) I like this style, and b) a lot of hoods have long chimney stacks.
