Extreme 4 Gen 3 CF PSU Input

So my Extreme 4 Gen 3 has a XFIRE Power Connector in the middle of the MOBO. Do i need to power this? in the manual it doesn't make it overly clear if you need to or not.. I didn't have it on my old mobo.. I have two 6950's with two 6 pin PCI-e cables per..

It supplys extra power to the GPU's if needed, try it without. If you don't get any problems don't bother.

Ah okay. Seen as im going to be overclocking i'll just plug it in even if it is ugly..
