So recently for no reason at all my pc has become very slow when running videos...or browsing the internet, listing to music and so on. Its so slow the mouse pointer actually jerks across the screen and whenever i have music on and load up webpages all i hear is loads of stuttering.

I have attatched a youtube video showing the issue which you can clearly see.

I really don't know whats causing this but its very frustrating. Im running on a SSD. I reinstalled my graphic card drivers. It just randomly started to happen a few days ago.

I would appreciate any advice or help.

Everything is always updated fully. I took out my graphic card drivers fully and reinstalled the newest ones.

CPU = i5 3570K
8gb ram
2x 290 AMD cards in crossfire.
Samsung pro ssd

I literally have done nothing at all lately apart from install Kaspersky internet security 2016 but even when i disable that i still get the same crazy lag and stuttering.

All in a web browser? What about other applications? As below, try a different browser - Firefox, Opera, and/or Edge (it looks like you're on W10).

Have you tried a different web browswe such a chrome ?

Looks like Chrome in the video.

I had this issue once. Was a glitched atheros killer network driver hogging resource over time. Updated and now all is fine. What have you got?

If it is a recent problem
Probably software or spyware
Do a scan and wipe your browser
Wipe all hidden files from the browser
Use system restore if available
Reinstall browser

Thanks for your input all :)
It was indeed on chrome. Its also the same with Edge.
Strangely enough Its fine when i game... no issues.

Its driving me crazy though as i cant listen to music on my computer with out the constant stuttering and lag. Same with videos.

I have Kaspersky internet security installed which installed last week. Ran a full system scan with that and it came back fine.

I tryed process explorer and i cant see anything hogging any of my system resources.

iv attatched 2 pictures of my system processes that are running.

I dont know if iv "sorted it" but it appears to have been chrome that was causing the issue from what i can see. Iv been using Edge only the last 2 days and its stopped happening. Will update if it happenes again but seems it was chrome causing everything to come to a stutter.
