Hi,

I may end up making myself look pretty stupid here...

Just got my new PC together and installed windows, putting drivers on etc and checked CPU-Z which shows my CPU/memory as the following:

I'm guessing that isnt right? Should be 4.6ghz in the CPU screen shouldnt it?

Thanks,
Ash

Run a stress test like prime95 and it should shoot up to the overclocked speed. Intel Speedstep will mean the CPU will run at a slower speed when it is not in use. I think my 2500K for example runs at 800MHz, 1600MHz, 2200MHz or 4600MHz (just off the top of my head)

The RAM looks okay, it is running at 2000MHz

cool, thought I may be asking a daft question :D

off topic - ive got the gigabyte z87x-oc board, if using sli and a sound card, what drivers should I install from all these listed on here (or should I just do them all anyway?) http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18527439

Ah, sli not working either. Well, it's on and set in windows but I get the same or sometimes worse score in heaven benchmark. Thought something wasn't right...

. Restart/power on your computer. When you see the BIOS image, press DEL to enter the BIOS

2. Once inside, please navigate to the Save and Exit tab

3. Inside this tab there should be an option to "Load Profile"

4. Please load the profile in here called OcUK/Profile1

5. Once loaded, please select the Save and Exit option to save changes.

Question did you update your bios?

no, the settings ocuk set just didnt work when I set it all up. all ive done is switch to the back up bios on the board
