Hey guys can you recommend a nice chair?

Over the years i've had the standard leather office chairs, they've lasted years and kept their comfort not a good while. I currently have the vertagear sl2000 and it is horrific. From my rear upto my neck it causes aches and pains.

Sooo, recommend me something with exceptional comfort. Don't really want to go over £300, i'm willing to invest for the long term especially with new work coming up i need a healthy back

It's a little over budget, but you can usually pick up a used/refurb Herman Miller Aeron for 3-400 - Just picked one up myself, at first glance it looks like it'd be torture to sit on but it's really really not ;D

I use a Herman Miller Aeron at work - very comfortable.

Refurbed Humanscale Freedom at home - also very comfortable.

Also take a look at Steelcase Leap - usually very highly recommended.

All of the above can be found close to your budget at places like 2ndhnd.com

They also look pretty awful! I'm quite prepared to believe that they're the most comfortable chair you can possibly buy but they don't half look a bit naff... Need to overcome my sense of revulsion and get one as my "gaming chair" is pretty pants to sit on.

It's all subjective at the end of the day, I'm quite a fan of both the aeron's looks and it's comfort

However it is I believe the best selling office chair in the world and even has a permanent place on display in the Museum of Modern Art in New York :p
