Hi guys,
Hope somebody can help because at this point I'm going insane!
Specs:
PSU: EVGA Supernova 850 P2 CPU: Intel I5 6600k GPU: Nvidia 1070 Motherboard: Asrock z270 Killer SLI RAM: 2x8gb team group ddr4 (replaced with corsair 2x8gb ddr4)
The error I keep getting is that the UEFI defaults have been loaded.
A bit of history...
Last Tuesday I was using the pc fine, switched it off overnight, came back to it on Thursday and the pc would start but I had no video output. Tried it from the motherboard video output too and nothing.
First thing I did was replace the ram, one stick at a time etc, then ordered new ram, one stick at a time and still had the same issue.
Then I replaced the motherboard, and this time I got video output, however it kept telling me that the uefi bios defaults were being loaded, and then it would freeze.
I finally got into bios... Which then froze about 5 seconds after getting into it.
So I got a replacement motherboard... Which has the same exact issue!
It definitely isnt an overheating issue either as it freezes when the cpu is at 35 degrees c.
I've also tried a different PSU and get the same issue.
I have also reset the CMOS and tried multiple batteries.
Unfortunately I have no way of testing my CPU elsewhere, and despite it being the only constant in the equation I'm still finding it hard to believe it could be a CPU issue..
Has anybody ever had this issue before?
Cheers!
