Well my macbook arrived and overall i'm pretty impressed.

Main problem i'm having is it connecting to my wireless router at home. Sometimes it'll auto connect, sometimes it won't connect at all no matter how many times i try and coax it. All the pc laptops connect straight away with a signal strength of high and good quality. It seems the only way my macbook will connect is if i reboot it about 10 times. The connection lasts about 15 minutes then goes again.

Any help?

The router is a buffalo airstation 54g jobber.

Thanks in advance!

The Macbook and 10.5 have problems with wireless, should be fixed in 10.5.2

Meanwhile I suppose you could try updating software/firmware on both your devices

I had problems connecting with 10.5 but now i've updated my macbook the wireless has been connecting straight away every time. Run software updated and get all the latest patches and see if that helps.

Thanks for the reply guys. Both are bang up to date (software and firmware). I seem to having more luck when i switch encryption off on the router, however thats not really a long term solution.
I'll keep trying stuff and report back. :)

Well, just an update. Since i switched off all encryption on the router i don't seem to have had any problems. To the above post, it's a buffalo router. I will try forcing "G" on it as well.
