As the title says, I need some help putting togethor a very low price system

Its for my brother. Now we already have a , case, Hard Drive and a psu.

So we need a Mobo, CPU, Ram, Sound Card( Music Student) and possibly a GPU( this is not essential, but It would be a nice perk. Maybe a 2nd Hand one? )

So to the budget, We would not want to go over £200, and thats pushing it. I know this is very small, but hopefully it will be a challenge for you!

I thought about AMD , as this is known to be cheaper and this is what we need!

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

i'd check out the members market for most the bits and post in the sound forum for advice about the sound card, detailing what sort of music work hes likely to be doing.

If he's a music student replace the Xonars above with the M-Audio Audiophile 2496, which can be had from music specialists for around £45

Started to buy them.

This is what i have got so far.

As long as you have the 20pin and the EPS +12v four pin to connect to the seperate socket by the CPU then it should be fine.

I still use my trusty old enermax for testing and I haven't come across a board yet that doesn't like having only 20 pins.
