I have an Asus M4A87TD Evo motherboard and it has been a beast since iv'e had it, but all of a sudden its been doing something weird...

Whenever i unplug a USB device it decides to drop the volume ...

anyone got any ideas what the crack is here?
Maybe a psu/voltage issue?

Thanks guys.

p.s - I've also just noticed as soon as i put a different sound source in windows on the volume goes back up again ... wtf :/

Just noticed a similar problem on my pc - specs in sig - when i plug in or unplug my flash drive, the volume drops and rises again. Very odd.

Ah ha, just noticed that it's likely Windows' fault. It drops your main volume to compensate for other noises:

You should be able to fix this by going to Control Panel > Sound, then going to the Communications tab and selecting the "Do nothing" option, which should stop anything from dipping the volume automatically.
