Extremely slow internet speeds and download speeds

Well I just built my first ever rig, extremely happy!

I used my old HDD and installed Win 7 64 bit on it, and the interent is downloading files at 2-3KB/sec which is killing me!

I checked my drivers and found out that: Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller is anciently out of date, I dont know if it has anything to do with the internet or not?

Any advice on why it could be going so slow.

I think all the drivers are up to date.

I am having the same problem, i think its down to compatabilty problem between win7 64 and my negear router. I have not yer resolved the issue, I now have a new router on order which should arrive tomorrow.

Hopefully the new router should help, not much help for you though.

I've got reports from all over the country if you're with virgin media... I'm also having issues.
