Hi all. I have a MacBook and a Windows Vista based machine connected to a 100mbps netgear router. I'm trying to share files between the two, audio files to be precise. The sharing has been setup correctly and the transferring is happening but at a incredibly slow rate. I know my router isn't the best it will only handle around 100mbps, but I'm getting transfer speeds of around 400bytes per second. That is absolutely unacceptable. Is there anything I can do to increase the speed of the transfers? i'm not expecting blistering speeds, but at least 100-200kbps would be nice.
By the way at the moment both are plugged into the router via ethernet, I've also tried wireless but the transfer speeds are just as dire. If there's any more information you need then just ask.

Ps. Windows thinks that the transfer of around 7GB will take 36 days.
