Does anyone else get these? In the last year or so i have started to notice them popping up a few times a day at work if my pc has a white background. These days they are more like the stringy/ train track kind that makes its away across your vision and then dissapears. Outside on a bright day they make appearances too.

At my last eye test in December i said they had become a bit more common overr the past year so she dilated me and did a thorough inspection of my retina and it was fine.

Not looking for advice just curious if others get the same?

I have one floater I'm aware off, rarely ever notice it though.

Not something you need to worry about, especially if you're seeing your optician frequently.

OP sort your will :p

Have had them since my mid 20s. I think spending 12+ hours most days at one screen or another probably didn't help

I think focusing on a computer screen for long periods of time maybe (though someone who is a specialist in the field can set me right) makes them more noticeable due to adjustment of your vision for what you are looking at.

A small amount are normal especially as you get older but if you have a sudden burst of significant build up of them it could be a sign of a more serious problem which should be checked out.

How does that work? I cant see them at all until they randomly appear in my vision. I imagine in a sunny country i would be having a visual show every few minutes.

I wear glasses, often there are bits of something on it, smudge etc, you can’t be cleaning every second and slowly you end up just ignore it.

I've got them in one eye, and my prescription has started to change again since I passed the 40 milestone...

Tend to notice them when I walk into the bathroom in the morning which is very ... white.

I get the occasional one but recently when out walking in dense fog they were really conspicuous, it was as if my eyes had nothing solid to focus on so the floaters became the focal point.

I had them really bad after cataract surgery. Looked like lots of little pinheads moving in my vision. They slowly disappeared after a while.
