Didnt post this in the motors thread as I thought there may be some people who like this kinda thing and dont neccessarily post in motors, so sorry....

I'm looking to get back into RC cars (electric mainly), but i've been out of the game for a few years....

I'm looking for you guys to hook me up with a decent kit (dont worry about the radio gear), either car or truck (not monster tho), with decent spec as standard...i.e. race bearings, quick torquey motor, etc.

Thanks

PS, by car I mean Rally style, not touring......although I understand that the chassis will be similar and its just body preference.

Have a look on ebay

you gan get a Tamiya TA-04 chassie for aroung £50 which is all bearinged up a standard and uses a 4wd belt system.

If your not super bothered you can get one of the plastic bath tub style chassie varients with radio gera etc all in for £50-60

Stick in a a low turn motor and corresponding speed controler and your off.

clicky
Thats a bargin, twin carbonfibre decks! prettymuch the ultimate Tamiya chassie, almost thinking of getting that myself!

Ah, hold on, I forgot to mention, I want to be able to build it from scratch!

Also, back when I was into them, Tamiya were the cheapo value for money kits....is this 04 chassis something special!?

you can buy them in kit form but not second hand as they will already have been built to use (logiacally)

The TA-04 is the bees knees outside of The TRF which is the current RC king in The racing curcuit, there is some on ebay for a few hundred and the benerfit over the TA04 is minor.

The New TA05 is out but again there is not much benerfit over *** TA04 which can be picked up for buttons.

You can buy them on ebay new for £50-60 and second hand radio gear for £20 so a cheap hobby to start up

My Lancia Delta on a TA-04 chassie with hop up parts 11 turn motor :)
