Eye test coming up

Don't forget to take your eyes with you.

Seriously though, no. If you're nervous there's nothing to be worried about as if it's a standard eye test they'll get you to park you head on a contraption that allows them to look into you eyes. Worst part is when they fire small puffs of air in to each eye and trying not to blink when they do it.
It's not the test, it's the cost I'm more worried about. What I really wanted to do was have it checked out first bu65t I was just told to take an eye test. I'm not on benefits so can't have it done on th NHS so it'll have to be done private. It's the cost of the glasses I'm worried about

I've having it done at Limelight opticians in the Limelight community hub (Formerly Trafford Library and community centre. I would have much rather have had it done this morning but the only one I could get was this Saturday morning and couldn't have it done on the NHS.

Yes 100% do this by making a thread in GD and uploading it and asking for one of the PS whizzes to make the edits for you. Lots of helpful people will get some really good results for you.
It's only going to be for a bit of fun. I'm getting my glasses from somewhere called Eyepad which is part of Limelight. I'm getting two pairs, one for normal use and the other for reading and it cost less that I was told it would for the test itself and the glasses but another problem I had was trying out the different styles and colours of frames. I had the usual test bust had to quit after so many eye charts.
I should get the glasses in ten days.

Hope your cataract gets sorted quickly.
In my most recent experience with MRI (Last year) They probabbly recognise myu name from y numerous visits there last year (the mysterious pains in my left side which they just fobbed me off with painkillers or told me there wasn't anything unusual) and I'm still waiting to hear from them about my Hernia (Discovered after an urgent visit to the doctors in the same building[formerly Trafford Library and community centre), s I'll probabbly get the samer lack of interest (but at least Wythenshawe hospital got to the bottom of my mysterious pains),
Come on MRI DORT IT OUT!! I'M NOT PAYING TAX SO YOR BOSSES CAN WASTE IT ON POINTLESS THINGS LIKE DIVERSITY AND MULTI-GENDER AWARENESS MANAGEMENT INITIATIVE OR YOUR BOSSES CAN DISCUSS GENDER AWARENESS ISSUES in courses abroad.

I can do it myself using:
Paintshop pro
Particle shop
Xara Photo and Graphic Designer
Affinity Photo
Affinity Designe

Thanks for the offers but I can do it myself and I only want to do it for a bit of fun.
I did have photoshop elements but I got a message on the splash screen telining me to download a free thirty day trial (I'd already bought a key for it) and that and the Adobe model put me off it it.. I've got nothing against PS, just the way Adobe have gone about things and it's driven professional users away.

The titles in the bold italics're all from legit publishers and I reccomend giving them a shot (Particle Shop's also compatible with Photoshotp).
Pity I can't can't use it to remove the cataract in my left eye (discovered during the eyetest) and removing the blur effect in my left eye which was caused by the cataract.

The above gave me an idea for a science fiction/horror storry that'd be good in The Black Mirror/Twilight Zone involving photo editing software...

I finally got my new glasses and have better def vision (but I'd have much rather preferred Cyberpunk 2077 style enhancements). But I have a question- I have two pairs (one for every day use) and one for reading but which ones're better for photo editing/messing about with graphic design software?
