Eyebrows

The length of time hair grows is called the Anagen Phase. For eyebrows this is normally 4-7 months and for scalp hair it is normally 2-3 years but can be longer according to wikipedia.

One of my colleagues had an eyebrow hair which was easily nearing two inches long - it was a monster - he was dead proud of it. One day his boss got sick of it sticking out (it was massive in profile) and told him to go and yank it out. It was gross.

Indeed, I had a feeling that was it.

Ok, so what about pubic hairs then? They must stop growing once they reach a certain length, right?

I trim mine.

Also when you get older you need to trim your eyebrows as you get these wirelike hairs.

Doing it like Beckham is indeed a mancard tearing offence though :p

Hairs are "programmed" to be a certain length. When they get longer than that they fall out.

I don't know how it works, but I read it somewhere ages ago.
