Hi all

I have owned a samsung 2443bw for just over a year and decided to buy 2 more 2443bw to match and have a eyefinity setup.

I have set all the monitors up with the same settings as my 1 year old monitor but the problem is the 2 new ones look the same in colour and brightness but my 1 year old monitor does not match the 2 new ones.

I can not understand this i have to have comppletely different setting to try and get it close as i can but still it does not look right.

there are no profiles loaded for any monitors so its all the same settings, the thing is I did notice that the 2 new monitors when in screen saver mode which is all black the old 1 year monitor has a much duller less bright screen than the 2 new ones so i dont know if this is causing the colour shift betwwen the new ones and the old one.

the question is will the 2 new monitors over time start to look the same as the older monitor and just give it time or do you think i need to replace the 1 year old one as well ?

the thing is i thought getting all the same monitors would make them look the same in picture quality but like i said the older monitor seems to be less bright on a black screen.

can anyone help me on this as i ahd to set the older monitor to picture normal and bright 60 and the newer ones to Warm with 50 bright setting just to get it close as poss but you can still see there is a slight difference.

any help

cheers

Thanks. The reason for the colour shift i think Is because the 2 new monitors seem to be brighter than the older one well it looks that way with a black picture. The 2 new ones look more gray and he older one looks more black so I am Not to sure if this is why.

The older monitor looks darker and colours look off, will the newer ones go darker and blacker as time goes on and start to match the older one I have as it's doing my head in.

Thanks

Bugger mmm what to do, do u have the same problem ? Also is it normal for the backlights to go darker over time or do u think it was that way from new as I thought the tubes would not go darker by time

Hi all

Just to let you know i bought another monitor to replace the 1 year old one and the whites, colours, amd brightness and settings are now all the same on all monitors.

The only thing is the new one i just got has slightly darker blacks when just displaying a black background compaierd to the 2 i bought last week but its not to noticable at all.

very happy now so that 4 24" samsung 2443bw monitors i have now, lol 1 spare.

so the story is if you want 3 monitors to get them all at the same time. the only problem is if one brakes down i wounder how thta would turn out when you get a replacment .

mm

might upload some pics in the show your setup posts

yes they do rotate, also come with software for windows so that you can rotate the screen as you need theis as well bercause when you rotate the screen the desktop will not change unless you use the software.

they seem to be fine in both landscape and portrait mode but i dont use portrait mode at all. but you have to remember that these are still tft screens and ips would be better but they just cost to much.

i am sure the samsungs are 170/160 viewing angle and many tfts are normaly 160/160 i think.

i will be posting pictures this weekend but not in portrait mode as its a pain to get all monitors alinged right and have them just right in landscape.
