Quick Q...
Does the Apple Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter work for Eyefinity?
Got a spare monitor I coudl stea for a while and located one for a decent price.

Anyone else?
Everythign I've found suggests it's just another Active DP adapter with the only
difference at one end being mini DP rather than DP for which a standard adapter
can be used.

It's not an active one as active ones have an aditional cable (usually USB) to power them.

The Apple one is passive.

Is the one I'm talking about, has USB power :)

So it does!

Sorry, I can't help you with that then, I didn't know they'd brought out active adapters. :)

Im just waiting for the Sapphire ones to come into stock, then ill know it will work. Ive read loads of forums and the one above seem to be hit and miss.

As above mate, this seems to be an active adapter as it has the extra USB as power.
Also thats a competitor you linked to, remove the link before you get a holiday ;)

This is a minefield tbh, the only active adapter that works with eyefinity is the Sapphire one.

Numerous reports of people trying other adapters and having problems so if you dont have a DP enabled monitor use the Sapphire active DP converter!

if you just want the plasma connected why not just use HDMI?
