Eyefinity 5870 sapphire

Hi i cannot get my third monitor to be recognised when trying to setup eyefinity.

I have two monitors connected through vga to dvi ports and the third i have a sapphire active display single link DVI adapter,

I have a vga lead from the third monitor connected to a vga/dvi adapter which is then connected to the active dvi adapter...the problem is windows will not see the third monitor, do i need a vga to dvi lead not adapter to plug straight in to the active port or is something else wrong....help please!!!!

Try not to go DP/DVI/VGA.

Use the DP/DVI on a monitor.
And DVI/VGA on another.
